About paper forward

Paper Forward was founded in 2014 to give people an earth-conscious, thoughtful, creative alternative to mass produced commercial wrapping paper. All of our paper is 100% recycled and we print with vegetable-based inks.

We print on 30 lb kraft paper that is recyclable and sturdy enough to be reused or repurposed, yet pliable enough that it's easy to wrap with. It's a new favorite of father-in-laws everywhere!

We were inspired by companies like Tom's and Warby Parker to make giving back a part of our business plan. However, the 1-for-1 model didn't make a lot of sense for wrapping paper. [If you know of a place that needs donations of artisanal wrapping paper, please contact us!] To that end we have pledged 3% of our lifetime profits to Jumpstart, an early childhood literacy program working toward the day when every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. We have seen the impact of their work firsthand, and it is amazing.

We have also pledged 3% of the profits from our Nautical wrapping paper line to The Ocean Institute in Dana Point, CA. Using the ocean as a teaching tool, the Ocean Institute inspires learning, literacy and a love of the environment through unique science and maritime history programs.

If you want to see where it all began, our original Kickstarter campaign is here. Please feel free to reach out with questions, comments, collaboration ideas or custom design/color inquiries here or email paperforwardpress (at) gmail (dot) com.
